Getting started on lifestyle change can seem intimidating and overwhelming.  There’s so much conflicting advice about what to eat and how to exercise it makes us all nervous to do anything.

I still advise starting with the basics: a balanced diet, portion control, lots of leafy veggies, lean protein, a few fruits and healthy fats.   Start moving, increasing your steps, adding some interval training, adding weight resistance exercise.  And most of all, do all these things consistently.
